Booking Conditions

All Waterview apartments are spacious two bedroom, two bathroom and are self-contained with a fully equipped kitchen, air-conditioning, washing machine and clothes dryer, free cable TV, and a second TV in the main bedroom Wi-Fi access is available. As we are on the water front, all units have magnificent views of the ocean (across to Moreton Island), still water (over Bribie Island, Golden Beach and Pumicestone Passage) and the hinterland (Glass House Mountains). We have lift access, a heated pool, BBQ & pergola in a rainforest setting and secure undercover parking. We are in the Caloundra CBD with shops, including a supermarket, restaurants, cinema and major bus depot all within easy walking distance.

Terms & Conditions

Acceptance of the Terms

Each person booking accommodation (the guest) at The Waterview Resort acknowledges and agrees that these terms and conditions apply and extend to any person occupying or visiting the property, including the use of the facilities at The Waterview at the invitation of the guest.

The guest is invited to carefully read these Terms and Conditions, whose prior acceptance is mandatory for the reservation. Guests are advised to save and print these Terms and Conditions.

The Waterview Resort reserves the right to modify or supplement, at any time, all or part of these Terms and Conditions.

Payment

A valid credit card is required for each booking. Charges must be paid by credit card before occupancy commences unless prior arrangements have been made. We do not accept cash payments.

Occupancy

Occupancy starts & finishes on the dates shown on the guest registration form.

Deposits/Cancellation and Changes to Bookings Policy

For direct bookings we take a $300 deposit to hold a booking at the time the booking is made.

If a direct booking Guest wishes to cancel a booking, 2 months notice must be given during high tariff periods or 1 months notice must be given at all other times. Cancellations during these time periods will receive a full refund of their $300 deposit.

If the cancellation is within the 60 day or 30 day periods no refund will be given.

Amendments to bookings may be made before the 60 day or 30 day period at no cost. Accommodation rates will also be adjusted accordingly to reflect the new dates.

All other amendment requests that are within the 60 day or 30 day periods may be possible subject to availability and at the discretion of The Waterview management. An administration fee of $100 will be deducted from the deposit and the accommodation rates will also be adjusted accordingly to reflect the new dates.

Guests who have booked through an external booking agent will be subject to the external booking agents’ cancellation and date change policies.

Arrival/Departure Times

Our check in time is 2:00 pm. If you will be arriving outside of office hours, please call the office on 07 5491 8999 or email info@waterviewresort.com.au to make arrangements for pickup of your keys.

Our check out time is strictly no later than 10:00 am on the morning of your departure.

No Show Policy

You will be charged 100% of the tariff if you are a “no show” for your booked date.

Early Departures

No refunds or credits are given for early departures once the guest has checked in.

Room Capacity/Additional Guests

Our room rates are based on a four (4) person occupancy. Our apartments have a maximum occupancy rate of five (5) people per apartment. You are required to declare the number of guests that will be staying in the room.  Additional guests are charged at a nightly rate of $35 and this includes bed hire and linen. In the event that it is found that undeclared guests are staying in the room, the additional guests will be charged a nightly rate of $100.

Amenities & Personal Comforts

Our apartments are equipped with linen, towels, and a starter kit of guest amenities. The apartments are self-contained. A complimentary linen change and service clean is performed for stays over 7 nights.

Carparking

Guests must only park in the designated areas. You agree to enter the car park at your own risk. We accept no responsibility for damages or theft whiles parked or parking in the carpark.  We also take no responsibility if you choose to park off-site.

Swimming Pool

The swimming pool is open daily from 7:30 am to 7:30 pm. Please respect these hours and refrain from entering the pool areas outside of the designated times. The Waterview Resort is not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or loss of property that may occur while using the pool facilities. Guests use the pool at their own risk. There is to be no diving or cannon balling in the pool.

Lost Keys

A charge of $150 will be payable per item for any lost keys/security fobs.

Non-Permitted Items

Sporting equipment such as bicycles, scooters, surfboards, fishing gear, other large water toys and beach wagons are not permitted into the apartments and should be stored in the carpark.

Smoking Policy

Smoking and vaping inside any of our apartments or common areas is strictly prohibited. Outdoor smoking and vaping is permitted on your apartment balcony only and the sliding doors to the apartment must stay closed.

Animals

No animals or pets are to be bought onto the complex, unless otherwise stipulated by law, such as service dogs (Guide, Assistance or Hearing Dogs).  Please contact our office and advise prior to your stay if you are travelling with a service dog. Service dogs are required to be leashed in public areas and have their registration number visible.

Zero Tolerance Party Policy

For the comfort and consideration of all our guests, please note that we have a strict No-Party Policy. No group congregations in individual apartments are permitted or tolerated.

If this term is breached, the guest will be immediately evicted, and no refund will apply.

Noise

In the interest of quiet enjoyment and respect for all guests at the Property, guests are expected to be respectful of other guests at all times, and to be quiet between 9pm and 7am. Excessive noise is not tolerated.

The Waterview Resort reserves its right to charge the credit card provided on arrival if a noise complaint is received.

Credit Card

By providing your credit card information, you represent and warrant that:

  1. You are legally authorised to use the credit/debit card you provided.
  2. You authorise us to charge you in full for all charges incurred by you and your guests.
  3. You authorise us to charge you in full for any damage or loss caused by you and your guests during your stay.

By agreeing to these terms and conditions you acknowledge that The Waterview Resort reserves the right to charge the credit card provided for payment of all accommodation and, any damage, stolen items, or additional cleaning costs. This shall be informed to you via email.

Cleaning Charges

Apartments are to be left in a tidy condition, as close as possible to the condition it was presented to you.  Additional cleaning charges may be charged if the managers deem that the apartment has been left in an unreasonable state. In the event that increased cleaning is required The Waterview Resort reserves its right to charge the credit card provided on arrival an additional fee of up to $300 to cover the cost.

Damage & Stolen Items

The Guest will be liable for payment of any charges incurred together with all replacements and necessary costs for any damage or loss to the apartment and its contents or the body corporate property caused by any Guest or visitors to the Guest’s group. Any damage made by Guests will be on-charged. The damage recovery fee will include labour and materials. Any items taken from the apartment on departure will also be on-charged at the cost of replacement. This shall be informed to you via email.

Unaccompanied Minors

You must be 21 years of age or over to book accommodation and register as the primary guest to stay at The Waterview Resort.

All guests under the age of 18 are considered a minor and must be accompanied by a parent /guardian. The parents or guardians are personally and legally responsible for the minor and must supervise the minor at all times. For safety reasons please do not leave minors unattended in the Resort or allow them to roam the Resort property unsupervised.

The Waterview Resort will not accept any responsibility for any injury caused to an unsupervised minor staying within our Resort.

The Waterview Resort has the right to refuse any booking, when the legal guardian over 18 cannot provide current photo ID, when requested on check-in.

Emergency Service Callout Fee

The registered Guest agrees to pay $500 for any Emergency Service Callout Fee for false alarms. This includes circumstances relating to smoking and cooking inside the apartment where the smoke alarm is triggered. Guests are advised to use the range hood when cooking.

Unlawful Use

The property must not be used for any unlawful purpose. The Waterview Resort reserves it’s right to modify or cancel any reservation where it appears that a guest has engaged in unlawful. Fraudulent or inappropriate activity.

Compliance with Rules

All guests and visitors of The Waterview Resort must comply with the by-laws, rules and regulations applicable to the Property or which regulate the behaviour of occupants and visitors to the Property.

Failure to comply with the by-laws, rules and regulations applicable to the Property may result in the termination of the reservation and removal of the Guests and/or visitors from The Waterview Resort.

Inspection of Premises

The Waterview Resort reserves the right to enter any Guest room in the best interest of the security and/or safety of its Guests and Employees.  The Manager may inspect the Property at any time with reasonable notice and at any time without notice if the Manager is of the opinion that there has been a breach of the conditions.

Misdescription

The Waterview Resort is not responsible for any misdescription of the Property or changes to the Property that differ from representations, including the rate payable.

Termination of Occupancy

If the occupancy is terminated, The Waterview Resort is authorised to do all things necessary to remove the Guests and other occupants from the Property, at the Guests cost. If the occupancy is terminated and the Guests and other occupants are removed from the Property, the balance of the reservation will be forfeited to The Waterview Resort and there will be no refund payable.

Release and Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to release and indemnify The Waterview Resort and its current and former employees and agents against all expenses, costs, liabilities, claims, actions, proceedings, damages, judgments and losses arising out of, caused by, attributable to or resulting from your reservation or that may incur while in the complex.

Privacy Policy

At various times, we may collect personal information about you and/or the persons accompanying you during your stay or attendance at The Waterview Resort.

The Waterview Resort respects your right to privacy and has policies and procedures in place to ensure that all personal information collected is handled in accordance with regulatory requirements.

https://www.waterviewresort.com.au/legal/privacy-policy/. By providing us with Personal Information, you consent that we may collect, use, authorise, transmit and manage that Personal Information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Acceptance of Terms

Unless otherwise advised by you, in writing immediately, acceptance and agreement to these Terms and Conditions is assumed.

The Waterview Resort reserves the right to change and/or modify any of these Terms and Conditions at any time without notice, and such changes will become effective immediately.
